H&A Rebirth In 2010

It has been much discussed that the show is returning to its roots with more character based storylines next year.
I have had it confirmed to me by H&A that the producers are looking at this new year as a re-birth of the show in terms of its characters and its storylines, and that they are slowing the pace of the show right down so that they can spend time and focus on characters visiting each other, talking to each other about their daily dramas and goings-on, and getting into the heads and hearts of the characters.
Will the show still be exciting and dramatic? Yes it will be, but rather than dramatic events simply just happening to the characters, and watching one tragic event befall them after the next, as if they are just mindless pawns in a game of chess, the characters will instead return to creating their own drama amongst themselves, as fans of the show in its golden era in the mid 90s will remember.
The fallout from the Hugo storyline will end with a big climax which in itself is merely a catalyst for a completely different disaster to befall Summer Bay. It is after this next disaster that Summer Bay struggles to pull itself together, but will rise like a phoenix out of the ashes and the "Home and Away" that fans know and love will return.

Wow a rebirth of the show this could be really good or really bad, depends how they do it. If they are slowing the pace down it means they have more time to spend on the characters and on more gentle storylines so that would be good.
